A substance that increases the rate of a chemical reaction without itself undergoing any permanent chemical change.

Basically, according to science, a catalyst is a chemical that speeds up the reaction process without being involved in the final product. It’s just there to help. nothing more, nothing less.

Is God a catalyst in your life?

We live our lives seeking the best for ourselves. Yet we never really seek God who really knows the best for our lives. We sometimes ask God to answer our prayers like that’s what He’s there for. We don’t seek His will or His plan but hand Him a verbal proposal that He must approve. The Bible tells us to pray according to His will. (1 John 5:14-15)

We constantly seek what we want but never stop for a minute that God wants something better for us than what we could ever plan. Jeremiah 29:11 tells us so. and we don’t need to worry about the future since He makes all things work for good. (Romans 8:28)

Do we seek the gifts or the Giver? The blessings or the One who give them? The healing or the Healer? The providence or the Provider? Worldly things or His Presence?

Are we going through life with God in the distance? Do we call Him only when we need His help? Are we independent of Him so that He just makes our lives better like a catalyst?
